Bush entry
I am afraid that the come walk with me series has come to an end as I have been told not to go into the bush by certain people. I have never seen these people in the bush and will likely never will. I have always felt at home in the bush and never destroyed any art work . It seems to me that there is some sort of control being asserted and the use of comedy and video is not to be aloud. I will no longer be able to work from the bush but will visit the bush from the water as there is no control in this medium. So a new series of come sail with me will start as my boat is ready to be launched. Yes the drug sub will be launched in the coming week. Small tributaries are not to be entered by water from thee main river here by boat so a canoe will be used. The laws that stop the use of the bush are unconscionable and hit at a fair go for all.

Come walk with me series Bad Preperation
Complacency is a big problem. I went for a short walk and was overcome with heat and the lack of water. I was in no danger but was made uncomfortable. I was in Gundagai a few years ago and came across a bloke with a baby on a bush track not far from town. He had no water and the baby was thirsty and he was lucky I came bye. I hooked him up and towed him home and when we got there his wife was about to go looking for him. That would have been an hour in 120 degree temperatures. Turns out he was a dog chiropractor and in return he did some work on me and I thank him to this day.

Getting lost is hard to do if you take some precautions. Bush craft was taught to me by my late uncle Tiny who was trained in the art of tracking. I remember as a child of about seven when the little boy got lost up at Ebor and the song was written " Little boy lost"..My dad and Tiny and heaps of the blokes in the area went out and searched for him. No mean feat in those mountains in the dark and on a cold winter night. Men came to Ebor from hundreds of miles around. My dad was no tracker but was a good man

Bush fire safety part of the come walk with me series
I will give some small videos on safety in the bush and this is the first of them . It is best not to get into a situation in the first place ...Some years ago there was a fire in the bush in the forests on the east coast of Tasmania The story goes that a bushy who worked all his life in the bush on bulldozers made a clearing with the doser and these officials from Hobart were there controlling the situation as a roaring fire descended on them . The officials wanted the go ahead to start a fire to protect all the people there to be given from Hobart. The fire was on the top of the next ridge and coming towards them and the old fellah pushed the official over and The burning torch set the bush alight and all were saved ..There was an enquiry into the incident and the dozer driver was fined for destroying the bush with his dozer and also with setting the bush alight. It didn't matter that he saved everyone's life that was there as well as his own...
